Celeste poked through the heavy red velvet curtains that seperated the sections of NYU's preimeire theatre. Celeste smiled as she shown in a single light at the empty audience. The rest of the theatre was pitch black.
There Celeste stood. Confident as ever, that glimmering smile that got her into theatre still on her face. She was still innocent, uncorrupted. She smoothed out the short waist high tribal print skirt out and tightened her black patent leather belt. She clicked her black ballet flats and cleared her throat. She began reciting her favorite monolouge.
"I hate the way you talk to me, and the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. I hate your big dumb combat boots, and the way you read my mind. I hate you so much it makes me sick; it even makes me rhyme. I hate it, I hate the way you're always right. I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh, even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you're not around, and the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all. "

It was of course the summer time, and most colleges were were over with by now, but many were open for summer programs of some kind, either for their students or for high schoolers. Will had simply snuck in with a crowd. Next year would be his last year after all. He was 21 and already worked as a journalist more than he did any school work. Will just wanted out, he already felt out in most ways.
But for some reason he was compelled to sneak back in and see the building empty and asleep until the fall. And as he walked into the stage area he saw pretty brunette reciting something that sounded very familiar to him.
ooc- sorry, writers block

Celeste didn't want to be to cocky, but she was good. She got so into this monolouge that she actually cried real tears. Anyone in the audience would have been extremely moved, even felt her pain. She was that good. Thats why she got into NYU's prestigous acting program, thats why she was starring in an off broadway production here in New York. This is who she was.
Celeste stayed in character until an immense breaking point where she laughed. She finished and was ready to be Celeste again, not a tortured high school student. Being 19 and as succesfull as she was, she might as well have been 21. She looked out in the audience, a very handsome man with a mop of brown hair stood before her, "So?" she said in her captivating sexy southern drawl, "What'dya think?" she said sitting on the edge of the stage dangling her ballet flat feet.

Will smiled. Obviously the girl liked to be watched, liked her spotlight. "Very good. It sounds familiar to me, but I can't remember where its from, care to fill me in?" he asked her in his somewhat toned down British accent. He'd been living in NYC for so many years now, but speaking at home and over the phone with British family he kept his natural born accent.
He probably should have known what play, he was a journalism major and an english minor. But he didn't. Oh well.
ooc- just so you know, he's taken
