Cassie made her way down throught the winding tunnels of Grand Central Station with her lucky guitar. She found a busy tunnel like Toni had suggested and walked towards a wall. She set her guitar and pulled her phone out of her pocket to text Toni "Im here at the station, wish me luck!" She typed and the put her phone back. Cassie sat crossed legged on the floor and pulled her guitar out of the case and then lent the case up against the wall again. She took a deep breath and began strumming the chords to a song she had written what seemed like light years ago to her, she then began to sing; "The Power lines went out and i am all alone, but i don't really care at all, not answering my phone, all the games you played, the promises you made, couldn't fimish what you started, only darkness still remains..."

Toni got Cassie's text and wrote back: Good luck! But she sort of felt she should go support her new friend. Even if they were still sort of strangers, she liked Cassie and the girl needed someone to help out, sure she probably had other friends, but even so.
It took Toni about fifteen minutes to walk there from an audition, so she came in right in the middle of Cassie doing a song. there were a few people who were just standing and listening, a few people on line were paying attention. That was a good sign.

Cassie hadn't been singing that long but she noticed a crowd starting to form. She recognised Toni straight away and gave her a grin as she ended the song; So, blow the candles out, looks like a solo tonight, but i think i'll be alright... The crowd clapped and cheered loudly but then slowly began to fade away. "Oh well," thought cassie as she watched the crowd dissappearing "So much for loyal fans..." She put her guitar aside as she walked towards Toni and greeted her with a hug. "hey! " She cried "I didn't expect to see you here, i only sent you a text about -she paused considering the time- "10, 15 minutes ago" Cassie laughed a little, she felt a buzz of excitment and happiness rudh through her as she remembered the way the crowd had clapped and cheered her. "Did you see the crowd?! Man, i did not expect that. I never knew i was so good!" She clapped excitedly and jumped around in the air like a little kid who had just been given the key to Disney Land. Cassie smiled enthusiasticly.

Toni smiled and clapped along with the others. Cassie didn't really have fans yet, she couldn't call them that after one day. But she got an amazing response for the first time out. Toni had been right, she'd go places with her voice.
"You were great! You'll be signed on in no time." Toni encouraged, but obviously she couldn't make that kind of promise. "You're very good and with a little more time you'll get some fans." She would have given Cassie some money if she wasn't saving up. She wasn't making enough to just give away like that.
"Yeah well I wanted to support you." Thats why she was here so fast.

Cassie smiled at Toni
"Thank for coming!" She really didn't expect Toni to do that for her. She was obviously nicer that Cassie had realised. Cassie grinned at the thought of being signed. Her name glittering up in lights, her song number one in the charts. She'd have to work for that though, work and earn it. And Cassie was sure she was prepared for it. "Yeah, i just have to wait for the right person to come past at the right time" She smiled warmly.

Toni smiled. "Yeah, you're welcome." What were friends for right? Not that they were really friends, more like friendly strangers, but it didn't matter. Every relationship started the same way, as strangers. So no big deal really. It wasn't like she was missing anything important by being here.
"Right." Fame was all about luck.
