I’ve given up on giving up slowly, I’m blending in so You won’t even know me apart from this whole world that shares my fate This one last bullet you mention is my one last shot at redemption because I know to live you must give your life awayAnd I’ve been housing all this doubt and insecurity and I’ve been locked inside that house all the while You hold the key And I’ve been dying to get out and that might be the death of me And even though, there’s no way in knowing where to go, promise I’m going becauseI gotta get outta here o u t f i t Temperance, though she didn't mind being alone, hated sitting in the apartment. She didn't like watching TV all too much and she had read all the books she'd brought with her. Therefore, there was absolutely nothing to do there. So, she got out of the PJ's and got dressed, then headed out to the bookstore.
She walked in and looked around for something big that would consume her time. She sighed and kept looking down all the aisle with a cup of green tea in her hand.

Like all guys, who still couldn't get over the reality of having to grow up, Jason was biding his time before the mall cop realized he was the punk that had jumped through the fountain with Dash, Dash, whom of which was known widely at this place. The pair of them were really, causing so much trouble. It was simply to keep the mall cops on their toes, make them feel like they had a job.
But really, who was Jay to determine a real job from a fake one? He was a bloody musician for christs sake, he had nothing running for him. But just as the mall cop turned his back on Jay (who was hiding classically behind a newspaper) he took off, sprinting in through Barnes and Noble, down and around a couple book shelves. And finally--oomf.
Now, this was not the sound of impact, more of the one the poor girl he'd knocked into had made. "Oh, shit! Are you alright?" He asked quickly, switching his girl-voice on for the chick's benefit. He had a voice for guys, a more rougher, vulgar one, and for ladies it was all about his charisma. "I'm so sorry." He added, his voice rushed. His shirt was wet, which was weird, he didn't think he'd been running that hard...but wait, the cup on the flood had clearly been full of something. "Oh, this just keeps getting better, that drink, it was yours wasn't it?" Jay asked, making a face because he already knew the obvious answer.
Just preparation.

Still, she wasn't upset about it. She was normally running into people anyway. It was bond to happen at some point.
"I'm fine, thanks." She said sincerely and pushed herself to her feet. She looked through her purse and pulled out a couple napkins and handed them to him.
"I can pay for the dry cleaning. I'm sorry about that." She said, giving him an apologetic look.

"Wow, wow, wow." Jason started, holding out a hand so he could help her to her feet. "I'm the one that clutzily tackled you to the ground, let me buy you another drink? Or maybe dinner, I mea, maybe if you weren't so skinny you could take a blind-sighted tackle." He teased, shooting her a wink.
Guys like him were bad news for gorgeous sweet girls like her. He didn't even realize he always ended up breaking hearts in the end, it was all a game to him. Usually, anyway. "Don't even worry about the dry cleaning, a quick round in the wash and it'll be good as new. What were you drinking, like water? It's already drying fine." He added convincingly, gesturing wildly to the damp spot on his shirt. Oh that Jason, charming as always.

Temperance protested, but it was a lost cause. She knew she was skinny. She was very picky when it came to what she ate. The girl had always been a health freak.
"I was drinking green tea." She said with a small smile, picking up the cup on the floor that had previously contained her drink.

Jason reached out and poked her stomach gently, it was all muscle, or all bone, he couldn't tell. It wasn't like she was sickly skinny, just that she was obviously built very petite. She was gorgeous, a babe, someone he wouldn't mind rubbing in Dash's face.
"Green tea? You look like the tea type," He added with a smile. "Come with me?" He asked her, gesturing towards the in-store cafe. It was a nice little place, cute and definitely a spot where he could work his magic and charm her over. As he often did without a care in the world.

This was a little awkward for her. She normally didn't talk to people she didn't know, which would explain why she hardly had any friends. Still, she preferred solitude.
"I'm Temperance, by the way," she said with a smile, looking up at him for a moment before she tripped.

"Oh boy." Jason started, reaching out and catching her with his steady hands, at least before she could knock into the book case in front of her face. "I'm begginning to think this happens to you a lot." Jay said, shaking his head with a laugh. "You're boyfriend probablly won't like me buying you tea." Jason mumbled, not like that would stop him, he was known for not being the most honest guy in the book.
Jason grinned, "Temperance, huh? That's a name I've never heard before, I like it. It's just...different. Where's it come from?" He asked curiously, taking interest, another plus point. "I'm Jason or er, Jay."

Temp had never even held hands with a boy. There was no way she'd have a boyfriend.
"Well, Jason, it's very nice to meet you." She said with a smile, thankful that she didn't face plant into the book case.
"Temperance is one of the Seven Virtues; kinda like the Seven Sins, but the opposite... anyway, I don't have a boyfriend. Never have," she said with a shrug. She didn't mind it really.

Jason grinned, "At least I'm good for something, right?" He teased, nudging her with her elbow. He had just saved her gorgeous face, hadn't he? There was honestly no flaw on this girl's body, and he imagined the lucky guy that got to see it all the time...life wasn't fair.
But when she said she didn't have a boyfriend, his eyes lit up. And then she said she never had. "You have never had a boyfriend?" He asked her incredulously, stopping short in his tracks, "You-I-that doesn't make sense." He said quietly. "Not that I'm doubting you or anything but I just--you look like you would've, I dunno." Jason cut off his rambles, running a hand through his brown hair, "Right, tea." He remember suddenly, placing a hand on the small of her back to start her moving again.

She never really saw herself with anyone. She was always way more focused on books, people just weren't her thing.
"You really don't have to get me another tea. I was about to go anyway." She said with a smile, playing with her purse as her stomach grumbled loudly.
"Alrighty then, well, it was nice meeting you but my stomach is growling at me." She said with a smile and then headed toward the door, pushing her hair back. She felt a little outta sorts around Jason and she didn't like it.

Jason grinned, he knew this move. She was obviously gonna brush him off, head for the door, but he was two steps ahead of her. Jay was quicker, and just as she was about to step through the double doors, he was on the other side, grinning. "Then let me buy you dinner?" He suggested, she couldn't possibly say no, she was too nice.
Jason had never dated a nice girl. And how could he possibly let her just leave like this?

The boy was very forward and determined, she'd give him that much. Still, she was a little uncomfortable with the whole idea. Going out with someone she didn't know.
"Yea, sure, okay," she said, not wanting to be rude. The girl was basically incapable of being rude.

Jason smiled, glad he'd gotten her. Then again, it was obvious the girl didn't know how to say no, there wasn't a rude bone in her body. Though she did have a very nice body.
Right, mind out of the gutter.
"Great," Jason said with a confident smile. "Italian, Indian, Chinese, or good old American cuisine? American Cuisine is simply a fancy name for burgers and french fries, even though french fries weren't even created here, Belgium, or something like that, right?"
And here wenth the rambling, silly conversation part of him. What could he say?

I've never researched French Fries." Temp said with a smile and walked out of the book store. This was gonna be weird. She wasn't good with people which is why she spent her time in libraries and bookstores.
"I don't care where we go." She said with a shrug, looking ahead of her so she wouldn't run into anyone or anything.
