Ivy and Robbie had packed up all of her things, taken his car and moved all of her stuff to his apartment. He was just ready to sit down with her on the sofa and crack open a cold beer for all the hard work when the door went. There was 3 rings, 2 knocked and 1 loud thud before Robbie reached the door. "Holy fuck, I'm coming, talking about fucki..." he swung the door open and he stopped dead in his rant when he cast eyes on the overly dressed blond at the door "Mum..." there was a mixed look of terror, shock and a slightly mortafied look on his face at the sheer sight of her.
Before he had a chance to say anything else she had pushed passed him and into the room, knocking past her son like he was nothing with her oversized bag. "And I thought it was bad enough finding you living in such a dump, now your swearing to your guest that just happen to be your own mother a woman who went 10..." She started to rand but stopped when she saw Ivy. It was her time to be shocked, seeing Ivy.
Before she could say anything more, insulting at Ivy, Robbie jumped in "What are you doing here mother?" he said and he swung the door closed.
"Your cousin told me you knocked some poor slut up. You didn't think I wasn't going to come, did you?" she talked like Ivy wasn't there.
Oh, it wasn't hard to see why he had left Ireland and his family in the first place.

I resolve to call her up a thousand times a dayAnd ask her if she'll marry me in some old fashioned wayBUT MY SILENT TEARS HAVE GRIPPED ME!!Long before I reach the phone, long before my tongue has tripped meMUST I ALWAYS BE ALONE?? OUTFITThey'd gotten all the boxes over to his place, but they hadn't unpacked anything yet. They'd sort of started, like the boxes were in the right rooms, but Ivy of course was tired and Rob was tired because he'd done the actual work. That's when someone practically attacked the door.
Mum?
His mother was here?
Ivy was so not prepared for this, at all in any way. And the cold slippery voice that met her ears was not one that she enjoyed. She grimaced, oh boy... Ivy didn't move, sipping her water slowly and setting it down. The voice had cut off and she looked over the back of the couch at Rob's mother. An uptight blonde. She clashed with the whole atmosphere.
"I'm not a poor slut." Ivy said looking right back unblinking. Okay, Ivy had been a bit of a slut in the past, but not now. And she wasn't poor money wise and she wasn't a poor thing because she was pregnant. This was obviously more serious than his mother understood, but she wasn't sure she should be the one to put Mrs. High-and-mighty in her place.
God, no wonder Robbie left home...

Robbie mother looked over her shoulder at Ivy for the first time, looking down her nose like Ivy was a piece of dog muck on the bottom of her brand new Jimmy Choos "Oh shh, no body asked you for your opinion and I was talking to my mornic son, not his little slag." Philipa turned back to Robbie, putting her back to Ivy once more "What is she even doing here? And why in gods name didn't you make her abort it?" she scolded.
Robbie shouldn't have been, he knew his mother all too well, but he was stood there in total shock horror. She was a complete monster, he'd kind of forgotten how much so. "Mother!" he snapped before she could say anything else degrading. He moved past the old bottle blond bag to where Ivy was and took her hand in a sort of protective way. His mum was scary. "What makes you think you can just come in here and insult my girlfriend. What makes you think you can just come here at all. I disapeared for a reason, you." he just couldn't wrap his head around the fact that she was there, right there in his living room. And he was damn sure she wasn't going anywhere any time soon, no matter what he said.

OUTFITHow could she talk that way? His mother was a witch. Ivy wasn't the only one in the wring here, both she and Robbie had less than savory lifestyles until recently, and she had every right to be here. This woman wanted her to kill the child and leave her son. Both things were absolutely not happening.
She squeezed Robbie's hand as he took, thankful and for the first time completely and utterly sure that he was some she could trust, someone who loved her, he wasn't leaving again.
"We have this right in America called Free Speech, I'm allowed to say whatever I like, whenever I like." Ivy said calmly to his mother. If she was going to continue being insulting, she was going to talk right back. "Besides, he doesn't have any say when it comes to my body, he can't make me abort it." Robbie had never once asked her if she would, he knew she wanted it, and respected that. His father could be proud of him, she had her reasons now.

For someone so highly respected and high up on the money chain, Mrs McCoy didn't appear to have many manners. She didn't really, not the people she saw below her, she looked down her surgically enhanced nose at everyone she saw below her, scum much that should be pushed aside and shut up so she could speak. She was even looking down on Robbie like that now, she had always done it in a way before, subtle and less noticeable because he was never the ideal rich kid, far too rough around the edges for her prim and proper liking. But now he was just as bad as any other riff raff she might pass on the streets with their hand out begging for money.
"You disappeared because you're a incompetent fool, you were due to move out of the family estate and in with Delilah two weeks after you left. She's still heart broken you know, and her parents are still furious, they are very high powered people, not good to annoy." She started to go off as she always did. But Robbie had failed to mention that other small fact to Ivy, the other reason he had booked it out of Ireland, the whole Delilah deal. Of course his mother was going to drop him in it, it was her favorite thing to do, right ever bitching at him, or anyone. "I honestly don't have the energy for you, or you" she scowled at Ivy with an acid tone to her voice "I'm jet lagged as it is." she held in a yawn which gave Robbie the opportunity to speak.
"You aren't staying here." he said very matter of factly but his mother just scoffed a laugh.
"Oh don't be supid Robert, I wouldn't stay here if my life depended on it, I'd probably find a used condom under my pillow or something." it was funny hearing such a proper woman use the word condom so off handily. "I'm going to stay at that fancy hotel on the other side of town. The Palace?" she sounded a little unsure of the name but she knew where she meant. "This conversation isn't over. Brunch, tomorrow at 11, and don't keep me waiting. I won't be happy if I have to come back to this dump." with that she was going and Robbie let out a sigh of relief and untended. It seemed stupid until you met her, but he was pretty terrified of the old hag.
He didn't even know where to start when he turned to Ivy, dropped himself on the sofa next to her "I'm so sorry..." was pretty much all he could say, he knew his mother wasn't going to apologise so he may as well do it for her. He just hoped too much had been said for Ivy to really have grasped that he was set to move in with some girl called Delilah before he ran away. He highly doubted it though and he was expecting a few questions he didn't want to answer about it.

OUTFITIvy said nothing for a very long time and just squeezed Robbie's hand as he apologized. She turned to face him, her eyes sort of wet now that his mother was gone. She almost didn't care how exposed to him she was. Ivy kissed him gently, her hands on either side of his face.
"I forgive you. Her showing up wasn't your fault, and whatever you had with Delilah and having Izzy's name on your arm... I know you, and I know who you've been." She knew about his women, she'd been just the same. But Ivy couldn't help but think that now they were alright, they were together and that was all that mattered. They were meant to be, she believed that, but she'd never tell him because that would freak him out. "I love you.... and as long as you're here, with me, and you keep defending me... I don't care what happened before, because people change, maybe not a lot, but enough. And you've been nothing less than wonderful recently. Don't bother explaining whatever happened before until you want to." She had to give him that inch, as long as Ivy found out someday, she could push it aside for now. he left all those girls before.
"What on earth am I going to wear to this brunch, I've already ruined her first impression of me. And to be honest, I really don't like her, at all.... she scares the shit out of me." Ivy said bluntly, but allowing herself to smile at Robbie a little.

The silence that was left behind by his mother was a little unsettling, usually long silences lead to bad conversations and argument but when she finally did speak it was the opposite to what he had been expecting. Robbie smile at her and kissed the top of her head when she stopped talking about how great he was, and unlike the time before, he half believed it himself. "Could you be any more perfect?" he mumbled and wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close to him. It wasn't that he didn't want to tell her about Delilah so much he was just expecting her to react badly to it. "I'll tell you now. Get it out of the way." he looked down for a moment then looked back up at her. "She was kind of my highschool sweet heart and our parents pretty much forced us to stay that way, they were even planning a wedding, made me buy a ring and everything but..." he paused for a minute " Just another of the many reasons I ran away." he shrugged. It wasn't that much of a big deal, not when he put it like that.
It took that long for the Izzy comment to catch up. "Izzy? You know her?" he had made the connection, they were both models. But there were so many models in New York the chances of them knowing eachother were slim in his oppinion. Apparently not as slim as he had hoped. "And she told you?" he hadn't talked to Izzy for a long time, it wasn't like they ended on bad terms, just that they didn't really have enough in common to stay well in touch.
He laughed and shook his head "I told you, crazy bitch, no one likes her and she never likes anyone else. She has issues liking me and she only does that because she has to." he smirked "Wear whatever you want. Because it doesn't really matter what she thinks of you." he assured her though he doubted that was going to make Ivy feel any better. Getting a mothers approval was a pretty big deal, psychotic bitch or not.

OUTFITShe laughed softly as she cuddled into his arms. "No, I don't think I could be any more perfect." She said with a little smile, joking at herself. something she never would have been able to do before. She was really growing, changing, and Robbie was too.
Him? A high school sweetheart? Maybe.... or maybe it was a fling. But just the fact that he had run away proved he didn't like commitment, but he was staying and committing for her, Ivy, for her. Delilah didn't even matter now. Izzy was far more pressing and even she suddenly seem to matter. It was more that Robbie was really her man, even in front of his mother.
"Of course I know Izzy, we're sort of rivals... She's the one who tried to convince me you were cheating before... and she... well... when I was at the hospital the other day, she was there and she basically threw it in my face that i was pregnant and that you had left..." Ivy's breath caught for a moment on the memory. "I told her that you had come back and asked me to move in with you... and I mean, i'd figured she'd slept with you by the way she talked but... when she told me it was her name o your arm.... its just so permanent... she was going to be on you forever.. and well.. I guess it doesn't matter." He was here now and she believe in him, believed he would try to stay.
"Well, is it fancy i mean?" She said playing with the edge of his shirt. It was amzing how good she was being about all these past lovers. Ivy was amzed with herself.

Robbie's past was bound to catch up with him everynow and again, it wasn't exactly the cleanest or the most desirable and he had plenty of skeletons in that closet of his but that was all in the past and he hoped she knew that. He had ex's, he had lots of flings and girls he'd slept with. Lots of mistakes and family issues, he issues in general and they would all slip out eventually but he was all for living in the now and ignoring the before.
Delilah had been a more, perminant thing, they had dated since they started highschool but it had never been your typical highschool relationship. They just dated to keep their parents happy, it was like a set up relationship that neither of them really wanted to be in but neither of them dared to do anything about it. They acted like a cute couple at school around their parents but otherwise, they didn't really see each other as anything more than friends. Not that Robbie didn't make the most of her practically having to sleep with him. They had fun with that part, just not all the cute cuddling, exspensive dates at fancy restraunts, planning to live together and be with eachother forever. All that was an inconvenience.
What Ivy was saying about Izzy almost made Robbie laugh. Had he not known that she couldn't be talking about someone else he would have believed it. He knew the light, bubbly innocent as hell Izzy and the person Ivy was talking about was a far cry from what he knew. Instead of laughing he looked confused and perked his brow a little not quite believing what he was hearing. "Izzy? Really?" it wasn't that he thought she was making it up. It was just so unexpected. Izzy was just so nice so unbitchy and honest and everything. Still he wasn't going to bring it up and he wasn't going to mention how outragious that seemed, there was more important things in the subject to be addressed. He cupped her chin in his hand and tilted her head so she was looking at him "It was a stupid drunken thing. It meant nothing then and nothing now, it's just ink. And I'm pretty sure this." for the first time ever, intentionally anyway, he rested his hand on her bump "Is much more perminant then a little covered over ink." He said with a small smile before he kissed her gently.
"Er, I dunno. It's not really sweats and a hoodie but not black tie. I'm sure anything inbetween will do." he wasn't going to go out of his way to look good. A pair of light jeans and a polo shirt or something. That was more than enough dressing up for his liking.

OUTFITIzzy was a good actress and so it was no doubt to her that Robbie had no idea of the meaner side of her. But that so wasn't what she wanted to talk about, she finally got away from Izzy.
His hand felt hot on her skin and she kissed him deeply for a moment. She could have sworn the baby moved a little, but it was way too soon for that really. God when did she have to go for a ultrasound?
"I love you." She said looking at him with large eyes, putting her hand on top of his.
ooc-- omg that sucked, but i had prom tonight >< we need to figure out the time frames, bc she wouldn't really be showing until like 3 months. idk maybe you can skip ahead to lunch with the mom? i'm brain dead right now.
