Toni loved the smell of garlic. Her father always said it was because of all her italian blood, and maybe he was right. Not like it really mattered. She loved her job here, even for the only so good pay. the food was amazing, and Al was a wonderful employer. Currently she was eating garlic bread sticks as she stood behind the cash register waiting for the friday rush to kick in.
It had been a good week, all in all. She's done well in her class and she had at least a few more days before her audition--thank goodness--but she was already a bundle of nerves. And she ate when nervous, if she wasn't careful she was going to start to reek of italian food. Which wasn't necissarily a bad thing.
The bell above the door chimed and she let her eyes wander to the spot, seeing who had come in.

(OCC: I apologize for shortness, brain dead at the moment.)
Getting out of class Selena felt like she could breath of course that just meant that off to work went with her. Becoming a total pro at pouring coffee and coming whenever was called was...such a lovely job. Course with what she got payed and she often got sneak peeks for the new art shows, those benefits always made going to work a bit nicer. Dress code was not a problem for her sense the lady she worked for was a bit favorable towards Selena so she got away with a bit. Ha...and her parents said she would never be able to make it a day without suckering off of them, how wrong they were.
Walking into the Italian restaurant she was not exactly sure about what to get but hey making it up as she went could be a bit of fun right? Her outfit stood out among the people, a black hat tilted to the side, a white shirt with a black tie and of course dark black jeans with converses with a pair of black rimmed glasses resting on the bridge of her nose. Ipod plugged into her ears as The Feel Good Drag by Anberlin ran threw her ears, ah what a break this would be. Running a hand lightly threw her hair she smirked as she looked around, the song ended and she took out the headphones "guess I got lucky". Her voice was soft and she really did not know if anyone listened as she had not looked up from the floor but soon she would.
Looking up she sort of felt like a idiot, talking to herself in front of someone, it was ridiculously and probably made her seem a little crazy... "I apologize for my behavior back there, I must look like some sort of rambling lune" she said scratching the back of her neck for a moment. It was really bad for her to making such impressions one someone she did not know, and from what she could tell...someone who was her age. That meant they probably went to her school or in fact they probably went to a school like her of course what did it matter? Still she felt a bit bad for the girl having to see her brilliant idiocy, talk about a double negative eh?

Truth be told, Toni had sort of zoned off into space, looking at a spot on the wall painted deep red. She was imagining that this was a set of a show somewhere, and she was a lonely woman who had worked hard most of her life and everyday she'd stare at the same spot in the wall, until one day they painted the wall and she realized she'd never really been looking hard enough and seeing what was right there. Maybe some male customer she could have loved if only she saw him.
But Antonia was dragged from her imaginary play with a start as she caught the tail end of an apology.
"Oh, no worries." she said, not even sure what the brunette had done in the first place. But obviously they could just move on from that. No need to bring it back up and ask what had happened.
"Want to order something?" She asked politely, remembering she was working.

(Occ: SHORT! T_T)
At least the girl had not seen her do what she had done, rather she had not noticed the rambling that had taken hold of her. Then she asked the dreaded question and Selena gave out a sigh as she thought about it. It was not as if she exactly had a plan...at least they had sent her and sadly...they had not told her all that much except where to go. Putting a hand on her hip she sighed and looked at the girl for a minute, it was frustrating looking like a idiot in front of someone. "I..." pausing she shook her head "really have no idea" really it was honest, she sort of wondered why she had let herself get into something like this.
"I got sent here and well...I just need something to serve a ton of over worked artists" she raised a eyebrow "any ideas?" Selena of course was quite serious with her question, it seemed as though work seemed the one to be puzzling her a lot lately. Though dealing with people really was not her thing, which she had to get use to in order to become a artist. Problem was she really had a hard time telling of when enough was enough, sarcasm seemed to spill out and it made her feel like some sort of mess. Even if she felt that way, on the outside she appeared to be a very collective person...that was to most.

Toni smiled. "Um, maybe just a big pizza, or a couple of them with lots of different toppings. We have a special for that." She suggested with a shrug. Did these artists need a meal or just a snack. "These garlic bread sticks are good." She added finishing off the one she had been eating.
Antonia wondered what kind of art the girl did. She'd never had any artistic talent really. She was a good singer and a decent dancer--enough so she could get into musicals but she wasn't exactly an artist, she was an actress. Well--she was going to be.

Watching the girl for a moment Selena thought about it, pizza made sense after all then this whole thing was sort of weird on her part she had no idea what to get though. Artists were also known to be pretty picky so it was not as if she could entirely blame herself for not knowing what to do. If they were picky though, they could live with it...not like she would be anyone to throw a big fit if the people above her happen to not have a taste for it. None of them payed much attention to her anyways, partly because she had asked that her last name be kept secret, away from any of them. It was not like she did not want them to feel like she was hiding something but...in fact she was even if she told herself that she was not hiding anything.
"Hm well..." she tapped her chin and smiled lightly "I think that special you were talking about intrigues me" it was a bit of a statement for pizza. They can bite me if it's not good enough she thought to herself as she tapped her chin, it was probably safe to go with simpler toppings when she found out what the special was. More of them would probably get mad at her if she made it all that complicated, though it would be funny to see the look on some of there faces. Losing her job though was not something she was all that keen on, she enjoyed it there even if it had it's ups and downs most of the benefits were pretty good, her plan was not to stay there for her whole life. Something about that scared her, because frankly then that would prove to her parents that she could not achieve her goal of being the artist, that she would have to be a coffee girl for the rest of her life.

"Alright, its ten dollars for two pizzas and you get to choose the toppings." Toni said, going more in detail on the special. This had never been an exciting job exactly, but she liked it, she liked meeting people and seeing how people behaved. it was good for acting, which was what she wished was the only work she'd have to do. But the world didn't work like that. You couldn't just do what you loved and get money for it. Not like the money mattered when you loved it, but pay was what you needed to get by in this world.

"Yes mamm" she said doing a bit of a salute out of sarcasm as she thought about it for a minute. Like any of them would notice so she started throwing stuff out "hm well I guess one with pepperoni and another with sausage, so I don't get chewed out". That was if they even liked what she brought, then she closed her eyes and told herself not to worry about it after all it would not kill them to eat a pizza that did not tickle there taste buds exactly how they wanted them to. It was curious how this girl stood, and how she acted she seemed happy yet something told her that she wanted something a bit different, in honesty who did not? Everyone seemed to want a bit more then what the world had set out for them, that was if the world had even set anything out for them or perhaps it was just leaving them there.

"Okay," Toni said scribbling the order down and ducking into the bustling kitchen to give it to some one. "It should be done in 15 to 20 minutes." She said. That was a pretty good amount of time, considering it was a busy time of day.
Antonia quietly wondered who the girl was getting all the pizza's for. She obviously wasn't getting them for herself, and she looked a little worried about getting the right thing, but it wasn't her place to pry.

Selena felt bad for giving this girl such a rough time with her, even if this was her job it did not really matter to her. "I'm sorry about all the trouble" it came out of her mouth lightly as she sat down and put the messenger bag on the table. "I work for the Metropolitan museum and well its a demanding job" she said sticking her tongue out a bit. As she pulled out a sketch book and flipped threw a few pages getting to a blank one as she pulled out a pencil and thought of what to draw first. When it came to her she began to let her hand move, her wrist going with the pencil and she looked at the girl every so often.
It was of course a bit of a, I'm sorry for being troublesome gift, which she hoped would turn out pretty well and so far it had. It was from when she had first came in, the girl sitting there looking bored and munching on a garlic bread stick though it looked as it had when she came it. Her wrist moved perfectly, as a dancers feet moved perfect, her wrist moved as if it were in some sort of rhythm. Getting out a blending tool she used it to touch up a bit of it it was a quicker drawing but it had turned out well. For being a art student it turned out well, taking it out gently she set it down on the counter "I could do better with more time but" she shrugged, even if it was done quickly there was much detail to it. Toni smiled. "Really, no trouble at all." She said with a smile. It was her job, and she loved food, it wasn't like she made any of it. She just took orders, waitress, cash register. That was plenty for her, at least she got to work with people. Toni liked people.
She watched the girl start to sketch, her arms and body perfectly aligned. Making something out of nothing. Just like Toni tried to add life to beautiful words when she acted. And she was surprised when the girl put a sketch of her down on the counter. "Oh its wonderful." Toni said. And she meant it too.
"Could you maybe sign it?"

"Thank you" Selena was a bit taken back of course, she should get use to and like any compliments she could get sense she recently started showing it off. "Hm yea it's no problem" taking out a pen her hand moved with the cursive, the first legible word on it was Selena and she smiled lightly. It was her work so she would sign her last name, as much as it killed her to do so, after all this girl did not seem like someone who would pry all that much. Under her first name she signed Kindell and then of course put the year in small letters next to it, so that she would know looking back when she had done this. "I hope that's good enough" she said clicking the pen a few times just to keep herself a bit occupied not liek it mattered to much how her signature looked at the moment.

"Its fine." She assured her. Really, the signature didn't matter much, to her anyway. It was... Serena's work of art after all and the girl deserved to sign it. And maybe someday it would be worth something. Maybe. if Toni managed to keep it that long. "Thanks."
"Toni!" Someone called from the kitchen and Toni rushed back to find out what was up. And in a matter of moments, she was back. "Your order will be ready soon, just a couple more minutes."
