Will smiled a little, hearing her moan like that. At least she was enjoying it, even if she was worried. He felt Lexi get the button of his jeans undone, and he figured that was a large enough step as it was. Will kissed a little farther down, going over her chest now, stopping quickly at her breast before trailing down her stomach.
It was at that point he leaned back and got rid of his jeans, they were only getting in the way if they were really going to do this. Will realized that he was really going to have to take charge here, so he pulled off his boxers, not really too uncomfortable--he'd done this before. Granted, it was someone new and that always made you worried. But he wasn't ashamed of his body.
He then hooked his fingers under her waistband slowly, slowly enough that she could stop him if she had changed her mind, and then pulled them down off her legs.
Will kissed her lips softly, letting his hands wander down her body for a moment, letting her just get used to this before he went farther. He broke the kiss to reach for a condom out of a box in her bedside table. He was one of those careful types.

As much as she'd thought she knew what to expect, Lexi wasn't prepared for the reality of the situation. It had hurt so badly that she almost asked him to stop. By the time they'd gotten coordinated and things had started to feel better, they were finished. Lexi wasn't sure if she'd wanted it to last longer or if she was glad to have gotten it over with. All she really knew was that there was no one else she'd rather be with and nowhere else she'd rather be.
She hadn't even realized she was tired until she'd awoken from what must have been a short nap. She was still naked, of course, and her cheeks instantly heated at the memory of what had just happened. "Why didn't you wake me up?" she asked Will, more embarrassed that she'd fallen asleep than that she was naked and in his bed.

Will was tired too. It had been sort of emotionally trying more than physically so. He'd been so worried about hurting her, and the pain on her face was something he wasn't likely to forget. But she seemed alright when it was all over, and she hadn't run away upset. It had been a long night so far anyway and he too dozed off, with one arm around her.
He heard her talking but she sounded far away. "Because its night time, most people sleep at night," he said with a little smile, keeping his eyes closed. Truth was he was tired. Did she really want to go home in the rain now? She was welcome to stay as far as he was concerned.

He had a point. Most people did sleep at night. She typically did, as well. And it only made sense that she would have fallen asleep. The whole experience had been a bit of a trying one. It was hard to be that nervous. It was even harder to convince herself that she didn't want him to stop and that she was making the right decision. Smiling, she nestled her head on his chest and let out a contented sigh. "Fair enough," she replied. "I think I'll sleep better with you here anyway." Even if she hardly knew him, she knew she was comfortable.
Eyes closed, Lexi felt herself start to fall asleep again. "I think I could love you," she murmured, hardly aware of her own voice. She wasn't quite sure if it had been the right time to say that or not, but it was too late to change it now.

He was so far off, so close to sleep that by the time he'd registered that she said she might love him he could only go "Mhm" quietly. Will held her close though, pulling up the blanket over there still naked bodies. He hoped he'd sleep well, and her too. It had to be even harder to get through for her of course.
------
When Will woke up it was light out, morning. He wasn't sure how early. It took him a moment to realize that Lexi was still in his arms, still asleep. Her hair was all around her like a fan, her smooth skin catching the light coming in through the blinds.
It was nine am.

As much as she wanted to be awake for every moment of this night, Lexi knew she needed to sleep. Besides that, if she stayed up much longer, she'd probably find a way to mess things up. So when she heard Will's breathing become deep and regular, she curled up, her head on his chest, and let herself fall asleep.
It took Lexi a moment to remember where she was. The bed was both bigger and softer than the one she had in her own room. The light was attacking her eyes from a different angle. It took her another moment to realize she was naked. All at once, Lexi realized exactly what had happened. A smile crawled onto her face and she rolled over, her gaze focusing on Will. "Good morning," she mumbled, reaching out to trace her fingers over a tattoo she'd noticed the night before. "I bet this hurt," she commented, propping her head up on her hand so that she could see Will more clearly.

"G'morning Sleeping Beauty." He said with a smile, only joking her slightly. But she had looked beautiful while she slept. Will kissed her lightly, feeling her fingers trace along his side and chest. "Yeah it did." He said with a little laugh. Will looked at it thoughtfully. He wouldn't have gotten it without a good reason and he had a good reason. he'd explain if she asked, which she was bound to do considering she was so curious.
Will wondered if she was still sore form the night before, it hadn't been rough, but it still hurt her. He wasn't stupid. Hopefully she could hang around and didn't have to be somewhere right away.

She was curious by nature, and she figured Will knew that. He hadn't seemed surprised at her comment about his tattoo, and she figured he wouldn't be at all surprised if she asked why he'd chosen to get a tree tattooed on his side and chest. There had to be a good reason to get a tattoo as large as that one. Even small tattoos hurt. (Lexi didn't have any, but it was common sense that it hurt for someone to draw on you with a bunch of needles.) Besides, if you were going to be stuck with something drawn on your body forever, a tree seemed like a strange thing.
Lexi waited for a moment, wondering if Will would tell her any more than that it had hurt. When he didn't, she figured she would have to ask about it. "Why a tree?" she asked at last. Her fingers still traced the tree. She was in no hurry to get out of the bed. She didn't have anywhere to be today and she was content to spend every moment she could lying here in the bed with Will. That was the way things ought to be, right? Besides, she was a little afraid to get up. At present, she didn't feel too bad, but she had a feeling she'd be a bit sore once she got up and moving.

Will smiled. He'd expected this. But he still liked that she asked. "Well, trees... how to say this..." He started. "I love my family, its important to me. Family Tree. Then there's the fabled Tree of Knowledge and how important and dangerous knowing too much can be. And of course, the Tree of Life, life lives, it bends and grows... does that make sense? And there are no leaves to remind me that you can always grow, and whatever winter's you face, always have a spring after them." That was his best description of why he got a large tattoo of a tree. To remind him who he was, where he was going and that change is life. Something like that. Lexi was imaginative, so she would probably understand.

Never having been the sort to mess with tattoos in the past, Lexi wasn't sure what sort of reason to expect. Most of the tattooed people she knew were the ones who got drunk and came home decorated. She listened intently to Will's explanation and was glad to when she understood him. In fact, it made Lexi wish she had something as meaningful as his tattoo. Something that would be there to remind her of her family when she felt alone. "That's beautiful," she told him. It was a strange sort of thing to say, but it was the only descriptive word she could come up with that seemed to make sense.
With a soft sigh, Lexi snuggled closer to Will, resting her head on his chest and delighting in the sound of his heartbeat. "Can we just stay here?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. She'd almost added the word "forever" but as a writer, Will had to be all too aware of the reality of that word. Forever was... Well, forever. And she didn't want to make this too much too fast. Not that she hadn't done just that already....

"Thanks," He said with a smile. It affirmed him to know that she thought so highly of his reasoning, of his words. It made Will suddenly want to work on his novel, like she was his muse, reminding him or why he loved to write and why life was so important.
"I have to be at work at three." he said with a little smile. Too bad he had to work for a living, but at least he could go in late. He liked having her in his bed with him. Will hadn't even realized he was completely naked, he felt so comfortable around her. And she was so beautiful... like an angel in his bed.
Will kissed her lightly and cradled her in his arms.

Still curled up beside him, Lexi fought the urge to pout. He had to go to work? Life was seriously unfair. Actually, she needed to be looking for a job. At the ripe old age of 22, she knew that she didn't have a lot of time left as the company's principal dancer. Dancers just didn't last that long. There'd be someone younger and prettier just waiting to take her place.
Pushing the thought aside, Lexi let out a tiny huff. It was all she would voice of her unhappiness. She could hardly expect him to be with her constantly. That was entirely unfair. It had been her first time, and Lexi kind of wanted to try it again. She had heard that sex got better with practice. But she knew they wouldn't be quick about it and she really didn't want Will to be late for work. Besides, she was enjoying simply being this close to him. He smelled and looked wonderful (especially considering it was the morning and they'd spent a decent portion of the night not sleeping) and their bodies seemed to be made for each other in every way. She had a feeling she'd never be tired of his company. "I'd ask you to call in sick if I didn't love that you're being responsible," she mumbled, not looking at him. She hadn't realized she'd thrown the L word into that sentence (and therefore out between them again) until she'd already said it and she wasn't sure how he would react.

Will laughed and leaned close, putting his forehead on hers. "I don't have to be that responsible. It is only nine in the morning. We have plenty of time to be irresponsible." Of course, the flirting only went so far. She was probably sore and wouldn't want to again, but Will probably could. Maybe they should eat first though. He didn't know if she was hungry she sort of seemed the type to say what she needed.
He kissed her softly, his hands trailing down her side. She was in such good shape, it was mind blowing, and she was beautiful, and adorable. Will pulled his lips away softly and smiled at her.

Plenty of time to be irresponsible? That sounded pretty suggestive. Lexi felt her lips curve into a flirtatious smirk. It wasn't something she was used to, but she didn't figure it was a bad expression. After all, a smirk is half smile, right? "Yeah? Maybe you'll have to teach me more of your irresponsible ways," she teased back.
Almost instinctively, Lexi's head tilted so that her lips could meet Will's. His kiss felt perfect and she was sad when it was over. "That seemed perfectly responsible to me," she mumbled, her hands reaching up to play in his hair. His fingers on her flesh brought back memories of the night before and she found that it didn't take long for her to determine that she was quite ready for another try. She let her free hand caress his bare chest and bit her lower lip. She wasn't quite comfortable asking for sex, but she couldn't exactly expect him to read her mind, could she?

Will laughed a little and watched her move her hands sort of tentatively over his skin, biting her lip. Did she want to have sex again? He really couldn't read her mind, and he didn't know how much pain she was in. He kissed her neck and over her collar bone. "You still sore?" He asked gently. "Did you want to try again?" He didn't want to sound like he just wanted her in bed, because that wasn't it. He was just trying to figure out what she wanted. Will of course would love to sleep with her again, but he wasn't ruled by what was in his pants all the time. He was smarter than that.
