To Robbie, moving in was almost as scary as having kids and getting married, not quite as official and irreversable but it was still one of those commitment things. Moving in was another of those huge couplie steps that he wasn't all that comfortable thinking about. He couldn't imagine her moving into his space, his apartment was such a guys place it would have been wierd to have her in it so the thought had never really crossed his mind.
He laughed "I still remember a thing or two from my old life." he joked as they walked in and were lead to a seat by the window. "I got a call from my cousin the other day, the only person I actually keep in touch with from home, she was updating me on all the drama I've missed recently." he said, just as something to say. He was kind of running on emty when it came to interesting conversation subjects but it wasn't that often he actually talked about his family.

"I really don't know anything about your old life," Ivy told him with a little smile as they headed inside. He never really told her about his family, she just knew they were well off and lived in Ireland or something. they usually talked about other things. He had tried to escape all of that of course, so it made sense that they never talked about it. "So what drama have you missed?" Her family never really had much drama, besides her parents and their jobs and such.
She sat down and realized a few of the employees were looking at them with smiles. They probably thought they were just a cute couple with no worries that lived together (considering they always came here together and went into the building across the street every time.) they couldn't be more wrong in some ways.

Robbie nodded "You should be gratful. My family's just..." was there really a word to actually describe his family? They were so unlike any other he had ever heard of. "Well, my uncle just got caught sleeping with his brothers wife. My cousin just announced she's getting married to her girlfriend when no one even knew she swung that way, er..." did he really need to go on. His family was just so messed up and crazy. "And apparently my mom's cheating on her new hubby." he shrugged. That was about it for the past month and a half. "See what I mean about not really wanting to know?" he laughed before a waiter came over to take their drink orders.
"I'll have a bee..." he cut himself off when he thought that she would be able to drink. "I'll just have a coke..." he corrected himself almost automatically. He didn't even know why he had done it, it wasn't like him having a beer was going to hurt thing kid, it just seemed a little unfair that he would be drinking and she wouldn't be able to.
"Do you really wanna know about my family?" he offered once they were alone again. He wasn't even sure if she knew if he had any siblings or not. It wasn't like they had visited the subject many times, he didn't think he had even mentioned that his dad wasn't around anymore. She just knew he had been pretty F'ing rich before he moved the the states.

Ivy laughed. "Hey girls make good lovers, but I couldn't imagine marrying one." The door swung both ways for Ivy, so she didn't find that shocking, but she figured if you didn't see it coming it would be a bit of a shock. "Sleeping with his sister in law? Gross..." She laughed sticking out her tongue a little at him, pretending to be disgusted. it was gross but not that gross.
When she heard him order and correct himself when he started to ask for a beer she realized how much she was going to miss booze. She wasn't an alcoholic, but it was part of her life. "I'll just have water thanks." Besides, it wasn't like she could get beer legally anyway, and this place would check her ID. Sometimes Ivy forgot she was only nineteen.
"Yeah, actually. I'm curious." Ivy's family was pretty boring really, his however seemed like a day time drama.
ooc- maybe ivy should have a bday soon? and how old is rob? i dont remember

Robbie laughed a little. It was still a little odd, dating a bi and sometimes some of the things she said got him a little off guard but he was getting used to it, gradually. He just forgot sometimes. "You wouldn't be saying that if you saw her, I mean... she's like Haley Berry... but hotter." he said in his uncles defense. Sure it may have been his aunt but there was no blood in it so where was the harm in it?
Robbie tried to think of what he could say exactly. "Well, my dad died when I was 15, my mum married some rich guy like... 3 months after his funeral. I was an only child until then, I have two stuck up prude step brthers and a little 6 year old brat of a step sister. My step dads a push over, my moms kinda... shes hard to like..." he didn't exactly want to talk down about his controle freak mother but she really wasn't all that easy to like. "And er... my reall... like origional family name's McCoy." he said and sipped his coke as it was placed infront of him.
--- he's 21 and yeah, she should. Be a pretty crappy party though, no drinkng. That would SUUUCK. haha

ooc-- well she'd only be 20 anyway. but yeah
"Like Hallie Berry only hotter? Maybe I'll sleep with her." Ivy winked, totally kidding, but sometimes she liked playing with his head a little bit. Things felt almost normal for a moment, and she was glad for that.
She sipped her water when it showed up, listening to him talk about his family. They were quite an interesting bunch, she'd love to just watch them. Like an experiment--more than she'd like to actually meet them. They'd probably hate her. She hardly was the type for a rich family.
"Robert McCoy?" She repeated. that was his really name? "Hm, I still like Robbie McGuire better." Robbie was more his name than Robert, just like she was always Ivy and never her real name--Ivory.

Robbie narrowed his eyes at her a little when she said that maybe she would sleep with her. "Har, har" he grumbled but he had a sarcastic edge to his voice. Even if the thought of it was kind of hot, in a weird sort of way, it still wasn't something he would want to happen, the thought of Ivy with anyone else wasn't all that appealing.
Robbie's were like something off some over dramatic TV series with scandles and drama around every corner. They were hard to believe, it usually took a lot to convince anyone that Robbie wasn't just over exadurating when he talked about them. They were outragious, too bad to be true. "My dads side of the family's relertivly normal, kinda boring actually." he laughed. They really were. All super smart over achievers.
He laughed just at the sound of his full, real title. Robert just sounded so propper and really didn't suit him even a little. "Yeah, it just doesn't sound right." he agreed. "So, any dark past, craz family, ex boyfriends or anything I should know about?" he laughed though it was a semi-serious question, he wanted to know what he might have to meet, if he decided to stick around.

Ivy leaned across the table and kissed him lightly. "I'm just joking. I only got eyes for you babe." She said with a little laughter in her voice. But she was serious, she just made it sound less serious than it was.
"Well....." Did she have anyone like that? There was the ex-boyfriend that was the father of her other child, but he wasn't even in the picture, she didn't care about him. "I have an aunt who's a porn star, my grandparents disowned her. My dad's a shrink, really quiet but a nice guy. He won't try to anaylze you or anything if you ever meet hum. My mom's... she's more strict, we fight a lot. She was a doctor, got sued for mal practice.... personally, I think she did it. She can be ruthless in my opinion." Ivy shrugged a little, she wasn't sure what counted as crazy.
"She still calls me Ivory when she talks to me, it always throws me off." Ivy said with a laugh and a shake of her head. She'd always gone by Ivy, but she wasn't sure why exactly.

Robbie smiled and took her hand lacing his fingers with hers. He hadn't meant to make her jealous, it had just kind of come out, he firgued it was a little too late to come back and tell her she was way hotter than his Hallie Berry look-alike aunt. It wouldn't have been a lie either, as far as Robbie was consurned, Ivy was by far the sexiest girl he'd met. "And you know I've always been more into blonds. One blond imperticular." he said, trying to save himself.
They had a little more in common than he had thought when it came to family. Well, by the sound of it, he wasn't one to judge yet, and of course her family sounded much more watered down than his but the basics seemed the same. Easy going father, slightly bitchy mother, moral grandparents. The idea of meeting her family should have seemed daunting to Robbie but when she mentioned the idea of him meeting her dad he kind of wanted to meet them. Just so he knew Ivy a little better.
Robbie laughed "Yeah, my mom too, and everyone else. Nicknames arn't propper." he said trying to seem stuck up in a mocking way when he said the last part. He failed, he had never been all that good at fitting into the 'propper' family he was born into.

Ivy just smiled, and squeezed his hand, leaning over the table again to kiss him, a little hotter this time. She really didn't care where they were or that the waitress was bound to come back to take their order soon. Hearing him say that he was into her, just her, that way was almost surprising, like the 'i love you', she was really starting to think he wouldn't leave--could he leave if he really was so in love with her?
"My mom had this think about ivory, smooth, light, pure... and she got me, slightly rough and tumble, feisty and anything but pure. I'm alot more like Ivy than I am Ivory. That's what my dad told me, I think he's right. She thinks I'll act more like what she wanted if she calls me that." Her father was actually very good at his job, and she suddenly wanted him to meet Robbie. He probably would at some stage of this baby thing.
Ivy nudged his foot under the table lightly, rubbing her leg lightly on his. It had been a while since they'd been together, but she had no idea if he'd ever touch her again, now that she was pregnant.

"Rough and tumble? I'd say your a little more than that." he said with a sexy one sided smirk and a sugestive tone. He probablly wasn't talking about her in the same way her dad had been, or at least he hoped not. "I'd have to agree with your dad too, you're wild, uncontrolable, a bit of a pain in the arse but add character." he teased as he rubbed his thumb over her soft hand as he held it.
Her being pregnant hadn't changed the way he looked at her, the way he wanted to be around her and hold her all of the time, it hadn't changed how he felt about her and how he wanted her, in fact, it kind of made her want her more and it was taking a lot of will power to not kiss her right then. Made worse when he felt her foot on her leg. She really didn't have to do a lot to drive him crazy.
Their little moment was short lived and interupted before it could really start "Hey, so are you two ready to order" Robbie wanted to say no but he didn't. He hadn't even looked once at the menu, he'd been too occupied by her, but he knew what he'd order. He waited for Ivy to order first, he was, after all, a gentleman at heart.

Ivy laughed and gave him a sultry look, raising her eyebrows. "Oh you would know all about that wouldn't you?" She teased with a smirk. "Oh yes, I'm unforgettable, but I'd be happy to refresh your memory." Ivy could have taken him right there if there weren't so many people watching. Hell, she'd give him a hand job under the table if he asked for one.
Her foot dropped from him as the waitress startled her out of her small fantasy. Oh thank god his roommate was out! Only thing was, they'd have to remember not to be too rough, she didn't know if that could hurt the baby."Oh, um... I'll have the... " Now that she had a baby, she realized she should be eating better. "Garden salad." She said finally. Ivy wasn't crazy about salad, but she was responsible when it counted.

And Robbie would be more than happy to have his memory refreshed. He'd be happy to have it refreshed then and there but he was pretty sure that was anthing but propper and not even legal. He'd just have to wait and hope dinner went quicky. Maybe he'd even skip desert (his favorite part of eating out) just to get her home quickly. He had been starved of sex for a while now, since they made up about a week and a half before. That was a long time to go eithout it.
"I'll have the steak. Thanks" he said with a quick smile to the waitress before turing his attention back to Ivy, unable to keep his eyes off her. The waitress walked away, dying to let out an awww to anyone that didn't know anything about them, they were pretty cute. Kind of romantic in an unconventional way.

Ivy was still holding her hand and she looked right back at him, aware of the eyes on them. Not only were they both good looking, but they looked happy, they looked good together, no wonder people were watching. Everyone loved seeing kids in love, even if they weren't exactly kids. Close enough. They were so romantic is some way, just not the typical way.
"My birthday is coming up, did you know that?" She asked randomly, just saying what came to mind. She sort of felt young, nineteen with a twenty one year old. Once she was twenty maybe it would feel less weird. Ivy didn't really need a gift from him, maybe just some sex and time to hang out. Like any other day. Or maybe him staying. But that was far to much to even wish for.

The way that people were watching them didn't really bother Robbie, he hardly even noticed the way people were looking at them like some celebrity couple or something. He was just making everything so much harder for himself, or maybe he was making it easier, every second he spent with her the more he felt like there wasn't going to be much of anything without her around. The closer he got the more tied he made that he would have to break if he left.
But he couldn't stop himself.
"Oh yeah, when?" he asked using his free hand that wasn't holding hers to bring his glass of coke to his lips. Robbie's birthday was in May so he wasn't that much older than her, not that he considered the two years a big difference or a big deal at all. It wasn't like she was some highschool kid that he was dating and it was just 2 little years. No one would be able to tell just by looking at them.
