Well, it had been a little over a week now, and she'd taken another pregnancy test: positive. She'd gone to the doctor for blood work confirming it: Positive. It was official now, she was pregnant. And she wasn't that worried about the baby, she was worried about Robbie. Would he really leave her? Ivy knew he couldn't really handle it at all. But he did love her, she could tell that he meant it. Could he really leave?
She just knew she had to talk to him as soon as possible. Ivy left a photoshoot and went to meet Rob. She'd told him to pick her up from work today. They were going to have to figure out what they were going to do.

Robbie was pretty sure that when he picked Ivy up, they were going to be talking about the one thing they had been avoiding for the past week. It had come up once or twice but been quickly pushed aside and ignored but he was pretty sure the results were in and he really wasn't looking forward to hearing them. He was usually pretty good at making himself believe things would turn out for the better but something about the way Ivy had said it made him almost sure it was bad news that it wasn't just a blip. That she was pregnant.
He pulled up infront of the business building and waited for her to come out and get in. His fingers tapping on the stearing wheel to the quiet music playing from the speakers in the back of his car. He'd been thinking about it ever since she came to the pub he worked at and told him she thought she was pregnant. He'd been trying to figure out what he was going to do if she was preganant but he still hadn't come up with a solution. He wanted to leave but he didnt want to leave her, he wanted nothing to do with the kid she was planning on keeping and he sure as hell wasn't ready for that commitment or responsibility. But everytime he thought about the only way around it, it seemed like the most impossible thing. How could he just up and leave her. He loved her and everything was going so perfect.

outfit
Even in the midst of a potential crisis, Ivy looked good: tight jeans, heels a cute top, sunglasses on. She was trying to fool herself more than anything. Nothing was going to stop her from being her. Somehow that seemed important to show Robbie. She wasn't changing. Sure he didn't want the kid, but he wouldn't just be leaving the kid, he'd be leaving her. And that at least had to be hard for him. Ivy hoped it would be hard. Hard enough that staying became easier.
She took a deep breath when she saw his car and removed her sunglasses on the way over. Ivy pulled open the door and sat down, saying nothing for a moment. "I'm pregnant." She said finally. She had wanted to say 'we're pregnant' the way many couples did. But she wasn't sure how long they'd be a couple now. They couldn't be a 'we' if they weren't in it together.

Of course Ivy was looking fine as ever as she walked over to the car and Robbie couldn't help but notice even when he was pretty sure bad news was coming with the sexy heals and tight jeans. He couldn't pull out back onto the road when she climbed in because of the traffic so they were just stuck there in silence until she confirmed his fears. He stayed looking at the road, avoiding eye contact of any sorts while he processed it. But there was still no space for him to pull out, they were stuck and he had no excuse not to look at her and talk to her.
He sighed and leant back in his chair before he turned to look at her. 'what now?' was what he wanted to say but nothing came out, he was totally struck silent and he couldn't make a single sound. What was he supposed to say, what did she want him to say, what did he want to say?

Ivy couldn't look at him. Her eyes were far off past the windshield, but she was overly aware of his eyes on her, a very slight blush of embarrassment creeping over her face and she exhaled, realizing she'd been holding her breath. It sounded so loud in the silence of the car though. A silence from which she learned nothing. But then she too leaned back and looked at him. What were they going to do?
Ivy was worried about saying too much, about saying the wrong thing. She wanted them both, her baby and her lover, she only needed him as a lover. Ivy didn't care if they were married or not, just that she was his. And he was hers. Ivory bit her lip. he had to know what she wanted. The biggest question was what did he want.
"I've done this once before. I can do it on my own, physically speaking. No matter what you do I'll always have a bit of you." Ivy said. She was keeping it, and it would always be his. She looked away again. "Obviously though, I don't want you to leave me. But I know you, and I know that might be far too much to ask. And you don't have to decide now." Ivy was amazed at how mature she was being about this. And she thought she had it together until she felt water welling in her eyes. God, she couldn't cry now.

Robbie looked away from her again when she stopped talking. He was trying to think of something to say but he still couldn't find any words and he stayed quiet for a long while before he looked back up at her to see a tear role down her cheek. He leant over from where he was and turned her face so she was looking at him, cupping her chin in his hand as he rubbed her stray tear away and kised her. "You know how hard this is going to be for me to decide..." he finally said something but it was quietly and she probablly wouldn't have heard him if his face wasn't so close to hers.
And she just knew how to make it o much harder for him, it actually killed him to see her cry. It hurt in a way he had never imagined and it was even worse that it was his fault. If he wasn't leaving then this would have been happy moment and she would have had nothing to cry about.

Ivy kissed him softly, turning pink, ashamed of her sadness. But she saw the effect that it had on him. It wasn't like she was trying to guilt him into staying. And she couldn't stop loving him even if she tried. Would she wait forever if he did leave? Who would he find that was better for him? they were so alike in so many ways, they understood each other. She felt another tear roll down her face quietly, dammit. She wiped this one away herself. This moment was so romantic, it would be so perfect if she knew he was going to stay.
"I know." She said softly. Ivy had tried to decide what was more worth it, keeping him or her ideals. She had considered abortion for him (something she wouldn't have even joked about with someone else) so she expected him to at least have to think. "I'm glad its hard." That meant he was giving this a shot, them, all three of them a shot. it wasn't ruled out yet. And that meant maybe she'd get him.
Ivy wanted him to be sure about this.

Robbie didn't want to leave but he didn't want to make any promises that he was going to be able to stay. He wanted her and he wanted a them and he wished that was enough but he still wasn't sure it was enough. "I don't know I'm gonna' do, just play it by ear for now." he wished he could put her out of her misery now and give her a dead set answer but he couldn't tell her he was going to stay when he knew the chances of him changing his mind were so high.
He wanted to tell her that at that moment he didn't think he would be able to physically make himself leave her but he didn't want to build her up for disapointment. He already knew he was going to freek out when it got a little more official, like when she started to get a bump, when he saw the ultra sound. "But no matter what happens... I think I'll always love you." he had turned into such a sap it was incredibly but it just kind of had to be said.

Ivy looked him in the eyes. "And I'm going to love you no matter what you do." She said with a tiny smile. Ivy meant it too. Robbie meant a lot to her and she couldn't see herself ever stopping to care about him, it just didn't make sense. She reached across the car to take one of his hands in hers, lacing their fingers together.
This was making it harder, not knowing how it would end, but maybe if he could see that things wouldn't change that much he would stay. Ivy would still warm his bed and joke and laugh and drink and dance---she'd just have a baby to be responsible for. He could live his life, she would understand. As long as he came home to her. Maybe if he stuck around long enough, he would see. They could do this.
"We'll play it by ear." She agreed, shifting a little uncomfortablly in her seat. There were three of them in that car. It blew her mind. If you could really already call it a baby yet. Maybe she'd name it after him, if it was a boy, if he left.
"Wanna get something to eat? I just got paid." Ivy said looking away from him. Things weren't going to be normal, they couldn't pretend otherwise. And she wouldn't blame him if he needed some alone time.

That was anothed thing that bothered Robbie about their relationship. It was no secret that he wasn't exactly rolling in cash and it made him feel small when he couldn't take her out to nice places and when she was earning more money than him, it just kind of made him feel a little, unmanly and the idea of her paying for them to go out was just degrading. It was a funny guy ego thing. Not that he couldn't get the money and a lot more, all it took was a quick call home and his mother would sort all of his money problems but he didn't want to turn to her, that was why he left Ireland, for a new start on his own.
He didn't let it show, that it bothered him and just went along with it "Yeah, alright." he said trying to sound indifferent. He actually didn't want to leave her, not even for a little time alone to think, maybe it was just him being a coward and not wanting to face his thoughts but part of it was just because he didn't want to be away from her unless he had to. Ugh, he was so sad and patheetic it wasn't even cute. Okay, thats a lie.

ooc- i love robbie. he's so great >< lol
Ivy heard a little edge in his voice. She knew he hated when she did things for him. But really, she didn't mind it. And she didn't think him any less than a man. Hell, Ivy posed in front of cameras in barely anything for cash. It wasn't much better than being a whore. That's what it felt like sometimes, and the second her body was gone---so was her job. That reminded her she'd have to start asking magazines of maternity clothes for a job.
"You pick where." She told him. "No where too fancy. I'm probably going to be out of a job when I start getting big," Ivy said. She was going to be out of money so soon. Would her parents help her this time? Or would they make her manage on her own? Maybe her funds would last....

Right then, Ivy probably made as much as Robbie made in a week just from one shoot. And it wasn't like he didn't work hard, he had one main job at night and then worked everything he could off hand whenever it came up, from handyman jobs to working at the pool lifeguarding and he still only just made ends meet with his flat and his car debt. Still, he didn't like to show it all that much, it wasn't exactly that cool that he was totally skint. It funny how quickly he'd got used to it though, from being one of the richest guys you might meet to some regular Joe.
Robbie hadn't thought about it like that, most pregnant women just worked until they couldn't actually work anymore but she would lose all her income as soon as she started to show. That was another issue they would have to face if he stuck around, another reason on top of the rest that could stop him leaving.
Finally there was an opportunity for him to pull back out onto the road and he reluctantly let go of her hand so he could drive. That was one of the flaws to having a standard. He couldn't drive and hold onto her. "How about that place around the corner from mine?" he sugested. It was just a small, quiet place that sold everything from italian to chinese.

"Sure." Ivy said with a real, honest-to-goodness smile. She loved that place. They went often, usually before or after sex at his house. Late night munchies and such. Half the people there knew who they were. It was kinda cute. not to mention the food was good. She suddenly realized that she'd already been thinking the word 'family'. God she was jumping the gun.
Her hand felt empty without his. But at least now they were moving.
The ride was quick and she found herself glancing up at his apartment. Too bad they couldn't live together, she'd move in in a heartbeat--but he had a roomie. She didn't know they guy that well. She suddenly wanted to meet him. Just to know the other people in Robbie's life. It wasn't like Rob could move into her dorm either.

Robbie had always loved the little restrant, it was the place he could actually afort to take her when the need arose and it was close to his place so they could just go and hang out at his place afterwards. It reminded him of her in a lot of ways, they did go there quiet a lot, more than they went anywhere else.
Robbie and his roommate weren't that close really, they seemed to miss each other most of the time, he worked when Robbie was out and vice versa. They only really cross paths and talked once or twice a week so Ivy wasn't really missing much in that way. Recently the guy had been spending a lot of time at his girlfriends place anyway.
He pulled into a parking space at the restraint and shut the car off before climbing out and going around the car to meet her and take her hand when she got out. "My place is empty tonight and I have the night off so you gonna stay over?" he asked her with a smile. It wasn't quiet as easy to act like everything was ok now it was official but he could always try.

When she realized he was coming around to open her door and help her out she laughed. "Look at you, acting like a gentleman." She teased lightly, giving him a kiss as she got out. It wasn't like she needed the help yet, she'd only need help later, when it started to get more real. When she was big and uncomfortable and everything.
"And sure, I'd love to." Ivy said with a smile. She knew that probably meant no sex though, she didn't know if he would touch her when she was like this. Her body hadn't changed yet, and as long as the sex wasn't rough she doubted anything would happen to the baby. So maybe.... And she still sort of had moving in on the mind. But she wasn't going to bring that up until she knew for sure that he was staying.
